Meet the Founder & CEO
Before launching Vivid Strategies LLC, Ms. Dortch served as Senior Director and Head of Global Cybersecurity Policy at SAP, where she led the company’s global portfolio on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and workforce policy. She previously spearheaded the development of tech policy positions at IBM as part of its Government and Regulatory Affairs team, with a focus on AI governance, cybersecurity frameworks, and intellectual property.
Ms. Dortch’s career also spans over a decade in federal service, including pivotal roles across the U.S. government. As a Senior Technology Advisor in the Executive Office of the President, she helped drive landmark policy initiatives, contributing to the 2018 National Cyber Strategy, the Executive Order on America’s Cybersecurity Workforce, the U.S. Federal Cloud Computing Strategy (Cloud Smart), and the Administration’s Report on Artificial Intelligence.
A nationally recognized leader in her field, Ms. Dortch has received numerous accolades, including the Top Lobbyist Award, White House Special Achievement Award, Women Leading for Impact Award, Federal Computer Week's Rising Star Award, and the University of Maryland Outstanding Alumnus Award.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a Master of Science in Financial Management and Information Systems, both from the University of Maryland.
